November 14th French Cidre Dinner with Ed Addiss of Wine Traditions
VIEW MENU PDF Normandy and Brittany are the 2 main regions of production, respectively "Cidre de Normandie" and "Cidre de Bretagne". Most ciders are made from a blend of apple varieties, classified under 5 different types: acidic, sweet, sour, sweet-sour and « self producing » cider apples that are perfectly balanced. November 21st Beaujolais & Beyond (A Gamay Experience) Ed Addiss of Wine Traditions VIEW MENU PDF Gamay (“Gam-may” aka Gamay Noir) is a light-bodied red wine that’s similar in taste to Pinot Noir. In fact, this variety is a cousin of Pinot Noir and most notably grown in Beaujolais, but also in the Loire Valley around Tours. Its full name is Gamay Noir à Jus Blanc. It is a very old cultivar, mentioned as long ago as the 15th century. Gamay wines are loved for their delicate floral aromas, subtle earthy notes, and surprising ability to pair with food (even fish!). The best part is, you can find high quality Gamay at a much better price than Pinot Noir. During this dinner we will explore all that Gamay has to offer along with Chef Christophe & Michelle's delectable menu, paired specifically with each wine. VIEW MENU PDF Join Us as we celebrate this quintessential American holiday (with a French Twist) enjoy our 3-Course Prix Fixe Menu | $89 per person featuring classic dishes like Dinde Roti (Roast Turkey), Huîtres Grillées (Grilled VA Oysters), Plats de Côtes de Boeuf (Braised Boneless Short ribs), not to miss desserts like warm Pumpkin Soufflé Cake & more. We will have Bar Service, but No Happy Hour | This Menus is available for the entire restaurant Bar & Café included | We will not be offering a la carte during our Thanksgiving Service.
